CARLSBAD, CA -- The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA;) recently recognized Carlsbad’s West Inn & Suites with two of their 2008 prestigious “Stars of the Industry” Awards:
- Lodging Property Achievement, Best Guest Relations, Small Property
- Manager of the Year, Small Property: Carl Holmes
Including the Carlsbad Convention and Visitor's Bureau honoring Carl Holmes as Manager of the Year in October, the CH&LA; awards mark the fourth major industry accolade for West Inn & Suites in 2008.
The CH&LA; award ceremony took place at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa December 3rd. Award winners are automatically entered into the national Stars of the Industry Awards competition which is presented by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA;) at their Summer Summit in Chicago, Illinois June 23-24, 2009. In 2006, Kim Akers, West Inn & Suites General Manager, was recognized as the AH&LA; national General Manager of the Year.
