Philadelphia, PA, US; and London, UK - Pharma Thursdays in conjunction with Trifecta MultiMedical and TOUCH Associates Ltd. today announced its expansion from its origins in the Philadelphia and New Jersey regions to London, UK. The expansion will coincide with the celebration of the group’s second anniversary in November in Philadelphia.
Pharma Thursdays is a meet -in-person professional network where life science professionals can come together to exchange ideas in a social setting and build new professional relationships. The organization began two years ago as a small gathering of regional colleagues and has significantly expanded to three US-based chapters in Philadelphia, Princeton, and South Florida.
The expansion to London validates the group’s founder’s concept of the unique nature and broad appeal of the organization. “Pharma Thursdays puts the “social” back in social networking; a critical part of professional relationship building,” said founder and industry professional Ted Gilbert. “Pharma Thursdays harnesses web technologies to organize the meetings, but ultimately the goal is to meet face-to-face. That is one of the things that convinced Trifecta and TOUCH that London needed its own Pharma Thursdays” added Mr. Gilbert.
