After a twelve week project that included replacing gas lines on Main Street, Downtown Canandaigua construction is completed on time. During the construction new sidewalk pads were placed, creating a more safe and attractive walk way. Along with the completion of the project, new flowers can be seen on the light poles adding more color to street.
The project was run by NYSEG, which chose DDS as the contractor. “Communication was great,” Liz Winter says, from the Canandaigua BID. “We were constantly updated, the contractors were courteous and mindful of downtown merchants.” The BID has worked together with the Canandaigua Downtown Merchant Association to have open communication between merchants and the public.
Downtown Merchants are happy with the work that has been done. In addition to having the gas line replaced safely, uneven sidewalks have also been repaired, making it easier for consumers to shop local businesses. Merchants look forward to a terrific summer filled with events, concerts, and promotions.
