|
Mr. Haas is President of Research and Organization Management, a performance-oriented strategy and management consulting firm, created to fill a gap in business research, strategy development and high-level decision support for organizations whose performance is acceptable but not exceptional. ROM identifies those strategic, operational, and cultural issues critical to success that are currently underperforming and then creates and implements action plans to align operations and management. Mark helps clients transition to higher levels of performance, turning intuition into insight . . . and potential into performance
Mark’s primary expertise is in organizational assessment, strategy development, analysis of complex systems, performance measurement, managerial decision support and execution management for public, private and institutional clients. He currently advises federal health research programs on management and operational improvements and is frequent lecturer on ethics, decision making, business simulation, and strategy implementation. His clients include federal agencies like NIH, US Air Force, US Coast Guard, US Postal Service and Department of Energy, and trade associations, professional societies, national labs, colleges, oil companies, schools, state agencies, and professional service firms.
He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC®), the highest professional designation in management consulting. He was lead quality examiner (Baldrige), and has held several professional society leadership positions, including the Institute of Management Consultants USA (immediate past national Board chair, past Ethics Committee Chair), Alumni Council of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Society of Petroleum Engineers (past national technical committee chair and chapter president) and the AAES (R&D; Policy and K-12 Education Committees). He is an author, invited speaker, seminar leader, and expert witness, facilitator, trainer, has received professional, academic, and athletic awards and has been listed in several professional directories, including Who’s Who Among Emerging Leaders and Who’s Who in the America.
