Steven W. Koinis joined Huron Consulting Group as Managing Director in 2010 to help the company realize its goals for repositioning and growing international client organizations. A multi-industry consulting firm with headquarters in Chicago, Huron Consulting Group provides strategic collaboration for companies in the health care, financial, legal, and educational industries. Prior to assuming his current role, Steven Koinis developed a successful, results-oriented career in global real estate and private equity sectors spanning international finance, venture capital, and corporate restructuring. Mr. Koinis completed a Master of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and holds membership in the Turnaround Management Association and the Arab Bankers Association of North America.
After receiving his business degree, Steven W. Koinis accepted a position at Owens-Corning Fiberglas, Inc., a business development company operating out of Belgium and Greece. Mr. Koinis served in the capacity of Acquisitions Projects Manager and later took on the role of Business Development Manager. He moved on to a Vice President position at BTR plc in 1988 and subsequently signed on with Washington Gas Light Venture Fund, a venture-fortified manufacturing company in Culpeper, Virginia. In the position of Chief Executive Officer and President, Steven W. Koinis increased the company's sales by 35 percent despite market downturns. He subsequently filled leadership roles with several other private equity and investment companies, including Makan Capital Group in Abu Dhabi, where he contributed to upper management in the capacity of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
